你的孩子不是你的孩子，他是生命自己的孩子，他們透過你來到這個世界，他們卻不屬於你；

因為生命是無法逆轉的，更不能被昨日的你所耽擱。

你是弓，而你的孩子是從弦上射發的生命的箭矢。

那射手看到了無盡路上的標靶，
於是他用神力將你扯滿，讓他的箭急馳遠射。

你應在射手的掌中感到歡欣；

因為他愛飛去的箭矢，也愛靜存於掌中的彎弓。

Your children are not your children. 

They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.

They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
